Terms of Service for Arcade Fixer

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Arcade Fixer's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

Arcade Fixer provides professional arcade machine, pinball table, CRT monitor, video game console, and related equipment repair services throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Services include on-site repairs, in-shop diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and restoration work.

3. Service Agreement

3.1 Service Requests

Service requests can be made via phone, email, or our website contact form. All service requests are subject to technician availability and service area coverage.

3.2 Diagnostics and Quotes

We provide free diagnostics when you proceed with the repair. A service call fee of $75 applies for on-site visits if you choose not to proceed with the recommended repairs.

3.3 Authorization to Repair

No repair work will begin without your explicit authorization. We will provide a detailed quote including parts and labor before proceeding with any repairs.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept cash, debit, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and e-transfer. Payment is due upon completion of services.

4.2 Deposits

A 50% deposit may be required for extensive repairs or restoration projects exceeding $500 in value.

4.3 Late Payments

Late payments are subject to a 2% monthly interest charge. Accounts overdue by 30 days may be sent to collections.

5. Warranty Policy

5.1 Warranty Coverage

All repairs are backed by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor. The warranty covers defects in workmanship and parts failure under normal use.

5.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover: damage from misuse, abuse, power surges, water damage, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

5.3 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact us with your invoice number. We will schedule a service visit at no additional cost for covered issues.

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Access to Equipment

Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to equipment for repair. Additional charges may apply if access requires special arrangements.

6.2 Equipment Condition

Customers are responsible for informing us of any known issues, previous repairs, or modifications to the equipment.

6.3 Safe Environment

For on-site service, customers must provide a safe working environment with adequate lighting and power access.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Service Limitations

While we strive for perfect results, we cannot guarantee that all equipment can be repaired, especially vintage or heavily damaged items.

7.2 Data Loss

We are not responsible for loss of game data, high scores, or custom settings during repair processes.

7.3 Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for those services.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

8.1 Service Cancellation

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

8.2 Refunds

Refunds are provided for services that do not meet the agreed-upon specifications. All refund requests must be made within 7 days of service completion.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, and technical documentation, is the property of Arcade Fixer and protected by copyright laws.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, traffic conditions, equipment failure, or supply chain disruptions.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Good Faith Resolution

We commit to resolving any disputes in good faith through direct communication with our customers.

11.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
